Happy Thanksgiving

I am thankful. My family is healthy, we will have food to eat today, a roof over our heads and the lights and heat will function correctly. And while we're by no means financially functional (like everyone else in today's economy), we have enough. I found a little saying I put on my email signature recently "The richest person is not the one who has the most...but the one who needs the least." That seems to sum it up appropriately today.
So, thanks be to God for the needs He has met for us (as He promised if we have faith in Him), that although we are not rich in the worlds eyes, right now, today, the needs are met...so in that way we truly are rich...the most precious of our possessions being the relationship with our Heavenly Father though our Lord Jesus.

So...that being said, on to the photos.

My first sweater is moving along. It's at the point it's no longer portable because it's getting complicated. I have to really concentrate on the stitches now - and soon will bind off and block! Then I can wear it (if it fits! :)

We babysat for Spencer last night and took him up to Meijers to pick out a new DVD. He's pretty smart knowing what he likes and doesn't like just by looking at the labels....amazing. Of course, it ended up being Curious George.

Then we tried on hats...we tried them on, laughed a lot and ended up with the baseball hat....he saw it, said "baseball hat! Thank you!" So as he is so polite...how could Grandma resist?

What a face!! He looks adorable in it!

On a very sad note...I want to say goodbye to a very faithful friend. Our family dog, Mitzi. We finally had to make the dreaded decision to take her out of the pain she was in...I could tell the last week of her life especially she was just so uncomfortable. The vet agreed - the chart in his office documenting dog years to people years had her at 97. Like wow.

We're all grieving, but grateful for all the years we had with her. I don't think she ever knew she was a dog.
